Ball and Chain Miami was built in 1925. It was a speakeasy, brothel, and gambling hall. It survived the Great Depression by having a ladies’ poker night on Tuesdays.
The building has been owned by several different people over the years but has never been torn down or renovated much beyond its original state. The current owner purchased it in 1990 and continues to run it as a club today.
